Nestled in the middle of seven hills, Rome is a unique major city in the state of Georgia. It is the county seat and the largest city in Floyd County. Museums in the area include Chieftains Museum or Major Ridge Home, which is dedicated to the history of the Cherokee, and the Martha Berry Museum in honor of Berry College founder.
