Loganville is a small city in Georgia which has the rare distinction of spanning two separate counties. The majority of Loganville lies in Walton County while a portion of it lies in Gwinnett County. Located approximately 35 miles east of the downtown Atlanta core, Loganville has a population of approximately 11,500. Loganville’s town slogan is Where People Matter and this sense of community is very much part of its municipal fabric.  


Loganville has a climate very typical for the state of Georgia, with average highs in the mid 50s in the cooler months and rising up to the low to mid 90s in the hotter summer months.


Life in Loganville is very much about outdoor recreation, enjoying nature, and spending quality time with friends and neighbors. One of the more popular venues to enjoy some quiet time communing with nature is at the Vines Botanical Gardens.  This 25 acre wonder of nature allows residents to enjoy quiet time amidst the beauty of the gorgeous flowers and plants. The park has annuals, perennials, display garden, water garden, garden railroad, and a rose garden. You’ll also find a 3.5-acre swan lake, koi pond, and fountains. This facility is open daily and there is no admission charge.


The downtown Loganville Town Green is the heart of this community. It serves as a recreational park as well as a gathering place for the group activities that occur throughout the year. Some of the more popular events are Movies on Main which runs outdoor screenings of popular and classic films as well as Groovin on the Green which is a concert series which runs from May through October.


One of the more popular annual events in Loganville is their Autumn Fest which takes place every October. This is described as offering residence an opportunity to step back in time. “Back to a time and families would shop, eat, and visit near the well in downtown Loganville. Friends and neighbours would meet at the well and reconnect and catch up with one another.” Autumn Fest has fun family events as well as kiosks where people can buy and sell goods and crafts.


Schools in Loganville are administered by the Walton County school District which oversees more than 14,000 students from pre-K through 12 grade. The district has 15 schools which include nine elementary schools, three middle schools, and three high schools. This district is a high-performing district in the state as its 82.3% graduation rate exceeds both state and national rates.


Amongst the top performing schools in Loganville are Mcconnell Middle School, Youth Elementary School, Rosebud Elementary School, and Loganville High School 


Loganville is the type of city that spells community with a capital “C”.
