With a total area of approximately 27 square miles, the city is bordered by Roswell, Milton and John’s creek and is about 26 miles away from Downtown Atlanta, which makes it an excellent option if you need to commute to work every day.

Founded in 1858, Alpharetta stands on an area that once upon a time belonged to the Cherokee Indians, like many other towns in the State of Georgia. Over the course of the past two centuries, the city had its fair share of troubles, like the smallpox epidemic during the Civil War in 1863, but it always found a way to overcome obstacles and succeed. Up until the 1980s, Alpharetta was basically an agrarian town community, but since then, it has blossomed as one of the most prosperous towns in the country.
