Covington is a small city in Newton County, Georgia, just 35 miles east of Atlanta. It has a population of just under 15,000 and a geographical area spanning 14 mi.². Covington has an impressive arts and culture scene through Main Street Covington as well as the Southern Heartland Art Gallery. Together these two venues provide stunning visual art exhibits, ballet performances, concerts, a concert series in the park, as well as camps to promote arts education and awareness for youth.
