The centerpiece of these facilities is easily Mill Creek Regional Park. The park consists of155 acres of land which features 15 lighted baseball fields, seven soccer/football fields, a walking trail, two playgrounds, multiple picnic pavilions, and several public restrooms. For those who enjoy recreation on the water, Mill Creek Reginal Park is right in the shores of the region’s major lake. Whether it’s for a leisurely bike, ride and evening jog, to walk the dog or to play baseball or football, Mill Creek Regional Park is the place to be active in Statesboro.
Schools in Statesboro are administered through the Bulloch County School District. Bulloch Public Schools is 38th largest school district in Georgia, serving nearly 10,500 students in a consolidated system with 15 campuses and two alternative learning centers.
